Marie Whitla O'Reilly is a writer, photographer and travel consultant. She also delivers slide presentations and is planning a book on Irish Gardens. 

Travel assignments have taken her to Ireland, Dominica, Germany, Spain, Italy, Dominica, Nepal, Taiwan and the Philippines.

Her articles have been published in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Globe and Mail, The World of Hibernia, The World & I, Travel World News, Twin Circle, The Stamford Advocate, The National Catholic Register and The Darien Times.

A native of Dublin, she and her husband, Kieran, have lived in Darien for almost 30 years. They have three children.

Lincoln Center Trip - Irish National Symphony Orchestra
Bus will leave Greenwich at 11:15 AM from Island Beach Parking Lot at Exit 3 of I-95. Brunch at Versailles Restaurant, including glass of champagne. Tour of the Lincoln Center complex and performance commencing at 3:00 PM. Price all inclusive $90. Without the bus $70.

Wild Geese Cruise on Long Island Sound - DINNER CRUISE ON 119 FT. YACHT

This a repeat performance of the highly successful cruise of last year, except that this year we will have an open bar and a full dinner served in the dining salon of the enclosed main deck. The boat is the “Cyah Amanda” identical to her sister ship. They are both new 117 foot luxury yachts with two fully climate controlled decks for year round cruising. The upper deck has a beautiful bar and an elegant lounge with an outside aft deck.

Boarding 5:30 PM. Cruise starts 6:00 PM. Return 10:00 PM.

Members $ 90. Guests $100

Reservations by check only. Reservations are limited. First come, first served. Come, bring a friend if you wish and meet other Wild Geese members.

"A Short History Of Ireland" 
Greenwich Continuing Education will present "A Short History Of Ireland" taught by Jim Dougherty, a member of the Wild Geese. Jim has just completed his Master's at Manhattanville with a concentration in Irish Studies. The course views the history of Ireland over 800 years from the Norman invasions to the present and tries to uncover the historical threads and character traits that have enabled this remarkable people to eventually succeed, not only in their own country, but also in countries scattered across most of the continents of the world. There are two sessions on Tuesdays, Oct. 21 and 28 at 7:30pm at Greenwich High School. The cost is $34, no extra fee for non-residents.
