The primary purpose of The Wild Geese is to enjoy and transmit the Irish experience by supporting programs that enable Americans of Irish descent and all friends of the Irish people to recognize and treasure the rich history and traditions of Ireland as well as her significant contributions to western civilization. More specifically, The Wild Geese:
- encourages among our members a deeper appreciation of Irish culture and its contribution to Society.
- fosters personal growth and development of lasting friendships by presenting cultural topics in appropriate social settings.
- promotes among our friends in the general community an awareness of the richness of the Irish tradition.
- exemplifies the generous nature, democratic tolerance, and warm hospitality of the Irish people.
- cooperates, when appropriate, with other American Irish organizations which share our basic philosophy about the value of the Irish tradition.
