"Bailegangaire" by Tom Murphy
Distinguished playwright Tom Murphy directs his 1985 masterpiece. Mommo is a senile old woman trapped in the past. Each night she begins to relate the story of a laughing competition - the story of Bailegangaire (the town without laughter) and how it came by its name. Mommo's granddaughter realizes that this story must finally be concluded if their family has any hope for the future. Olivier Award-winning actress and Rep favorite Pauline Flanagan (A Life) stars as Mommo.
